The Seeds We Plant Series #31: Fuel for the Body

Hi there!
Nourishment for the body comes in many forms, including food and drinks, meditation, quality sleep, prayer, physical activity, self-talk, and others. With so much to do, it’s so easy to feel like we don’t have enough time to care for our bodies (the vehicles for our divine message).
Regardless of what we believe about time, our bodies will let us know when rest is needed and when we need to choose better nourishment for our bodies. But we don’t have to wait for our vehicles to break down or receive a preventative health diagnosis. We can prioritize caring for ourselves and intentionally choose life-giving activities instead of life-draining ones.
Every day is a work in progress, and we must believe that the healthy seeds we sew today will bring a wonderful harvest. Some of the activities I intentionally do for my family and myself include:
- Developing a weekly or monthly meal plan. I have specific days for omega-3 foods, grains, no eggs, beans, and healthy substitutions. I include fruits and vegetables, especially green ones, for every meal and sometimes snacks.
